It is a modest, but lovely house. There are children that live here, too. She can see a jungle gym in the backyard and some toys lying in the grass. She sees the hint of water at the back of the house: the Simmington River. Straining her ears, she can hear the gentle sound of the river lapping against the shore. Suddenly, the peacefulness is broken by the sound of a dog's bark. She jumps, startled, and sees a friendly brown mutt wagging his tail and looking at her from its pen in the backyard.
'Does this mean I have brothers and sisters?' she thinks to herself, looking around once more at her surroundings.
"I guess it's time to find out," she says aloud.
She takes a deep breath, clenches her fists and walks up to the front door.
