Arriving home at her apartment near the University, Melinda hears the phone ringing over and over.
"Hang on!" she mutters, fumbling to get the key inserted in the lock.
Finally, the door opens and she picks up the phone impatiently. She listens for a moment, runs a hand through her thick dark hair, and nods...
"I understand, Doctor.... Yes, I can be there in a few hours... No, thank you for calling... I appreciate--Yes, Doctor, I'll be there. Thank you."
She hangs up the phone with a click and sits on the bed, staring straight ahead at the wall.
'She's going to be ok,' she thinks, 'but if she's going to be ok, I need to get there.'
